Momofuku TV employs CG animation to look back at the history of instant ramen. The program presents the six keywords that drove Momofuku’s creative thinking in a fun and easy way.
Momofuku Ando bounced back from personal hardships to start his own business at age 48. There is no such thing as “too late” in life. Don’t give up on your dreams. Audio guides are available in English, Chinese and Korean.
On a trip to the U.S. in 1966, Mr. Ando noticed Americans curiously eating forkfuls of noodles out of cups, instead of using bowls and chopsticks. With that simple observation, the worldwide Cup Noodles® phenomenon was born.
Momofuku’s patented technology.
After his invention of instant ramen, many companies tried to copy his products with less success. And like many businessman, he wanted to sue these other companies for ripping off his idea. There were too many imitations of this products around and things get crazy.
The government actually came to Momofuku and convinced him to not sue the other companies, but instead, share his techniques so that all instant noodles could be as good as his.
He became the chairman of the Japan Instant Food Industry Association and World Instant Noodle Association.
Jamiroquai sings in Japanese ” I am so hungry that I can eat 5 cup noodles.”
